Strategy needed for dealing with open limpers 5NL I need some advice on how to deal with a rampant practice on Full Tilt 5NL (Full Ring). Many players open limp and then 3 bet or even limp and then 3bet/ shove. This is distorting my opening hand range and postflop play. For example take a hand like JTo or A2s or K7s or 33. If I am on the button and it is folded around to me I have no problem trying to grab the blinds with these but if someone has limped in front then what? and what if they re-raise? What's worse is when there are 3 or more limpers in front beacause in order to make a correctly sized raise you need to raise to 6 or 7 bb. How many hands can you proftiably play for this entry, especially if your opponent can't find the fold button.

Raise + C-bet = win If they don't fold... Raise more & a tighter range + C-bet when you have it = win You can throw in a dash of limping along with stuff like 89 or 22. Suited aces, meht. If I'm drawing, I'd rather be drawing at a straight, the implied odds are typically better. But I don't suppose throwing in A5s would be terrible. But that's only if you're truly in there with a bunch of calling stations. If they have a fold button of any sort: Raise + C-bet = win

re: Strategy needed for dealing with open limpers 5NL poker With multiple limpers in front, if good drawing hand or small to medium pairs, just limp. Strong hand, raise big and isolate. Mediocre hand, toss. No reason to build a big pot if you have junk even with position. And you are in a tough spot if the limpers 3 bet you or shove.
