Strategies vs Short Stackers in NL Cash Games? Ive recently encountered some trouble playing against short stacks @ NL cash games, mainly .10 - .25. Short stacks would be the fellows sitting down w/ 5 @ .25 NL or 2 at .10 NL, approx 20 BB's or the table minimum, most of whom are open shoving pre flop or 3 betting all - in pre flop in tournament fashion. Other times I'll find myself on the flop w/ a short stack whos already invested ~ 1/2 his stack pre flop and is going to shove the flop regardless. Does anyone have any strategy for playing against these guys besides tightening up on starting hand requirements?

i try to almost never see a flop against a shorty out of position. they're gonna bet/push ATC if you check the flop, so playing OOP is tricky. in position is a whole different story, since they're still likely to bet almost ATC on the flop, you can then make an easier decision. But i prefer getting them all in pre, and will do it with 99+ or AQ+

re: Strategies vs Short Stackers in NL Cash Games? poker I understand from the SS strategy that there is relatively little you can do. That's why it is recommended for beginners. It takes away the post flop advantage of better players.
