Which stats are most important?
I have been playing hold em for a couple of years on and off and have just started using PokerOffice. I am very pleased with the software but to be honest the amount of information given can be overwhelming. Also, it's ok knowing my %'s for certain actions but how do I know if these stats are good or bad?
For example looking at my history I raised from the button 14% of the time, which sounds way too low to me, but I have no idea what kind of % is considered optimal. I know everyone has their own style of play but is there anything I can compare my stats to that will help highlight my weaknesses? |

1. VP$IP%; to tell you how loose/tight you are.
2. Aggression factor; to tell you how passive you are/are not. 2a. Preflop raise % 3. Win rate in BB or bb/100; to give you an idea of how you stack up (and if you are winning or not!) at current level And probably the most "meta" improtant: Number of hands played; to tell you if any of your stats mean anything .Here are some articles you might find useful in analyzing your (and your opponent's) stats. |
