staking stradegy

i found and perfect tourney on pokerstars for staking, 3.30 buy in with 10k guarenteed, its really a mint for a winning staker, no rebuys and usually about 1300 people which isnt too bad. (id be willing if someone had money on stars) just thought id tell eveyone cause someone in another forum im a member of staked some kid and he won like 500 dollars i think 4 place or so. So he gave the 3.30 and got back 250 which isnt a bad day for not even playing poker.

I see what you're saying about this tournament having a favourable payout because the prize pot never reaches the guarantee so it's EV+ for everyone, but why does that mean it's good for staking, as opposed to just good for playing in general?

How often/when is this tournament held? Sounds pretty good to me.

I've found one that fits that description, but it has rebuys and you say there's one with no rebuys? I scrolled all the way through, and one with no rebuys was nowhere to be found. Did I not look in the right place?

Oh, and here's a little mini-rant while I'm thinking about it: I hate rebuy tournaments. Who needs skill when you've got a bankroll that lets you comfortably re-buy 30 times? Rebuys take all the competitiveness out of it for me. Money is cool, but I'm competitive. I want to see how far I can get with everyone on an even playing field. If the WSOP allowed rebuys, it wouldn't be the WSOP.

Dont knock that re-buy tourney until you try it. Its literally a gold mine, ive made it fairly deep in this one twice, instant re-buy and a top up, and the blinds are soo small for the first hour in relation to your stack, you get a bucket load of hands to trap with. And trap you will !

Id say this is one of the best tournaments online, i seen the same donk re-buy over 20 times on my table the last time i played it, and he lasted 15 mins once the re-buy period was over. Have a shot folks its not expensive, and the payouts are huge.

its good for a stake becaus eyour not risking alot of money and its a big field so you yourself dont have to weed through the soposed "donkeys" i juts say good staker but i guess its a gfood tourney overall, its located right near the oe you were looking at on the same line there is a 20k + rebuys and a 10k no rebuy tourney.

When I saw the title I was sure it would be a post by Tim. lol

I am mostly a cash game player but have decided to play more MTT's and SnG's so I will most certainly check out these tourneys.

Okay is anyone else seeing this 10k no rebuys? I'm seeing in red letters several NL Holden ($3.30 + Rebuys); $10,000 Guaranteed! and nothing else that fits the description. I've sorted by buy-in price, in the ALL section of the tournaments, looked at every single $3.30 listed. You're convincing me I'm out of my mind here, so what the heck?

i doubt your out of yoor mind, but i'm pretty sure it is a rebuy. Other then the sunday million (which now is also a rebuy 2 weeks out of the month) the only guarenteed tournies i ever see there are rebuys. maybe you just misread it.

having said that, the $3 + R is an great tournament, probably one of my favorites. i play it as often as I can. I believe they do 2 a day, a 10k guarentee at 14:10 EST and a 20K guarenteed at 20:15 EST, the later seems to alternate a 20% payout every other day, and the earlier one is almost always 20%. great tournies.
