Some basic sng questions Couldn't really find it in the strategy articles, so I ask here. I'm currently playing 2+0.25 9 man turbo's at Full Tilt Poker and after only 60 tourney's or so I have a ITM or 42.6%, ROI of 29.8% and I won 21.3% of all tourney's. What kind of ROI should I have before deciding whether or not to move up in levels? (And what kind of ROI is sustainable) How much BR do you need for these kind of tournaments? I've been playing cashgames for quite a while and I'm new to sng's. Decided to start at the lowest stakes possible (without getting raked to death by FTP) and work my way up. Any advise is welcome.

Thanks for those numbers Makwa. I indeed had a very good run today, winning 8 out of 15 tourney´s . The BR matter is more actually artificial, since I have more then enough BR to be playing way above this stake, but I want to get comfortable with playing in these type of tournaments first and knowing I'm a winning player.

You may also want to try the 6-max (non-turbo) the play is horrendus and people play them like turbos and if you play right you will also suceed in these! I would suggest turbos too, but at 6 min blinds I think the normal are fast enough! I did play one yesterday where I was HU 3 times the lengnth of the rest of the tournament. There was SO much play left after the other 4 donktarded their way out!

If I'm playing turbos (either STT or MTT) I want double the buy-ins available in my bankroll. This means for STT I want 40 buy-ins, for MTT I want 100. |

those numbers are very good but im sure you will have downswings and those numbers will go down. I think 15%-20% roi is reasonable to maintain for a good player. Tbh i dont think itm % matters that much, its good to be itm a lot but your roi is whats important the most. for br i suggest about 5% or so, brm is very important with turbo sngs, since sometimes like i mentioned you will have horrible downswings where you cant win with no matter what hand and even if you play good. Its good to take a break when thats happening. And if you want some advice on stradegy and stuff you can watch my video i made on how to be succesfull in turbo sngs. Just look in that thread: http://www.cardschat.com/f53/bob_tig...-video-111338/
