SNG, tournament VS Cash games Ok. I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before so don't kick me in the tushie. I've started playing the micro limit ring games. I've seen some rather bizarre plays. I mean waaaaaaay strange (4xbb on the SB with a 2-5o). Seems like everyone is trying to play a really LAG'gy style and raising with just about anything and bluffing like their is no tomorrow. Did I just run into a few out-of-the-ordinary tables or is pretty much what I can expect? I don't get it. Someone please fill me in. I've played the brick 'n mortar casino games, but then that wasn't as strange as this. I've dabbled in a few cash games here and there to annoy the table, but just decided to take things a bit more seriously.

micro rings are a joke usually. Every once in a while you get a table with halfway decent players...its very rare though! I find that once you build a decent stack, about 2-3 buyins, the people tend to give you a little more respect out of fear of being busted with ease.

re: SNG, tournament VS Cash games poker Yes there will be people with very bad play at 01/02 but there will be loads of regs who are playing 5-6 tables playing very tight. For every person prepared to limp-reraise with Q-2 UTG or stack off with a flop of overcards against someone who'd 3-bet you holding 55, there will be people who will play 1 hand every five orbits.

I play these micro cash tables every once in awhile (mostly cause my ring game is too tight/weak and) but when I find a table full of loose players like that I'm doing backflips. Most of the time, on tables like these, you'll be able to get great value with some speculating type hands. I just sit back, wait for the board to hit me hard and then push somebody for his/her stack. Granted, it's only for a couple of bucks at a time, but it's a Great feeling to completely felt some yahoo. (I'm mean like that lol)

re: SNG, tournament VS Cash games poker I have played a fair amount at this limit and yes the play is usually pretty loose... I have found that if I pay close attention to the % to flop and go for one with a pretty low percent but reasonable high pot size I wil find a table I can make a little money at. Of course, my play at these tables is a bit erratic but not because it is not meant to be it is to consistently give the message that I am a bit tight but somewhat inconsistent.. LOL seems to work... as long as I follow my RULES that is... (BR management rules of course!! LOL) I really do better at cash tables than tournies I think... o course again must follow rules... cause without them I am SUNK. er.. WAS sunk... ALSO would not suggest playing a lot of anything after quitting smoking... I spent a full week on tilt and killed what little BR I had been able to gain.. but learned a valuable.. or should I say costly... lesson! LOL I guess if I had to pick a style that I play at these tables most of it would be somewhat TAG... seems to work pretty well agasint the crazies! Nothing frustrates a crazy more than to find out that he was wrong when he thought you were LAG like him... LOL Sorry if this post seems disjointed I am a bit tired I have been writing all day (school) and am a bit out of it! LOL
