Situation quiz at the flop
Hello fella.
There are lots of information on what starting hands to play. Where I think I struggle sometimes is at the flop. Here are some situations that I would be interested to know what you guys would do. On all situations its mid tourny, you have about 4000 chips, blinds are 100/200. Chip leader has 10000 chips, and out of 200 started there are about 90 left, you are in about 35th place.

1. Dunno cause I hate being out of position with A,10, now being that the button has raised I'd put him on AX meaning he could have paired his rag kicker along with his ace or 5,6 going for the open ended, even a set of 7's. This is why I don't like to get into this situation to often .. but to make this easy.. 2 choices here.. either raise or fold flat calling isn't going to get me control of the pot and if he does have AX and the kicker hasn't paired he is going to pay to hit it.. Only other thing that worries me a little is I am against A,J unless he is some donk who don't pre-flop raise with AK or AQ.
2. I have to completly think I am ahead here and make a pot bet at least or I would throw out a 1000 chip bet for half his stack to make him pay if he is chasing. If I am against a set then so be it. 3.Call him cause 1 of 2 things is going on.. his rag kicker with a Q and doesn't want to lose with it so he is trying to take it right down here. If not he is then betting on his on flush or straight draw. Unless the Donk got extremely lucky and flopped 2 pair holding a 2,5 then again so be it. 4.I'd fire out again at him to represent again the over pair, however this seems like a donk play by him with K6, K4, A6,A4 because some people over value the ace or king and know position and will play those cards against any raises. |

At 100/200 blinds...
1) How can someone raise 250 when another player has already bet 500? 2) How is the pot 700 after a raise and a reraise and 2 calls preflop? 3) How is the pot size 250 after three callers preflop? 4) How is the pot 1k after a 4bb raise and a call preflop? ib confused! ![]() |
