Side Pots in Tournaments

Most of you know the scenario: Somebody in early position is relatively short stacked and goes allin. Another player with plenty of chips (but fewer than you) calls, looking for a chance to bust the short stack (in my opinion many players do this with less of a hand than they would have bet if not for the allin).
Everybody else checks and it comes to you (also with an ample stack) on the button or one of the blinds and you're holding a pretty decent (Sklansky category 3 or better) hand.
Question: Do you fold and let the allin and the caller fight it out? Simply call and wait to see the flop? Raise to put an aggressive stance on the caller? Or go allin yourself to REALLY push him?
Obviously, the last two options put you in a position to create a nice side pot even if the short stack allin wins the main pot...BUT if, by chance, player two holds or flops a monster, you're in big trouble...so what would you do?

i'd only raise back with AA KK QQ or AK Suited, everything else i'd fold.

that would have to be sitautional, you cant just decide you are gunna raise certain hands and fold all others.....i would be raising jacks and AKos here too

hell i might even call with pocket pair and get a side pot going if i make a set

It depends on relative stack sizes and depth into the tournament. If late and the all in was small, I would just call if I were in the second position to say, "I can probably beat this all in but could use some help in putting him out". If I had a monster, I would go all in myself to say, "I got it. Save your chips." In case one, if you raise or go all in, I am folding. If you call, I am usually checking it down no matter what the board brings. Late, putting somebody out is prime.

I would not do the all-in. Call the bet and see the flop. Optimum is flopping best or 'nut' hand, then bet the other caller, but prime is still getting the short stack out. Better to get 2 of us in the pot against the shorty. No super-monsters hit my hand, I'm checking it down.
