should i have folded or called

folded because i see a lot of fish doing this with the nuts lately and really im either way ahead or way behind, and if im way behind then i would be furious if i called. thoughts anyone? i have no notes on this player so i dunno he couldve had aces kings other over pair, set, same hand as me or the flush not knowing how to valuebet, or air maybe. Either way i feel its better not to know at that point considering the pot size. Certain players though i would call in a heartbeat i must say.

Why did you raise then flat call flop? What is ur position here? What are stack sizes? Bad fold imo, mostly likely he flopped a set or had premium pair. Well with no pressure on the flop A5 could be well in his range here.

ya, tough fold,
very well coulda been a flush you were against tho,
u shoulda reraised flop for value/push out chasers (do chasers ever fold tho?)
raising 56 preflop hmmm...(we all do at times im sure,but...)

Then he won a 55 cent pot off a bluff lol. Against a player who is clearly aggressive bad like him with a raise on th flop he could easily reraise tptk. I am 32% to hit my straight which is the only reason im in past the flop on a 1bb bet, id be more likely to raise with air but i call seeing it as "if i hit my straight and it isnt a club then im getting a good payout". why else play 56s? I could be right to fold i could be wrong but am i right to call a 7xpot bet on the turn when the pot is tiny?

raise 56s preflop in 2c5c is worthy, for the times i lose my money i definately get more then that back considering implied odds against fish which are the majority of these tables. I play a little looser then normal at these tables also they are 5max at most and implied odds feel like they win the most even over aces or kings so far by quite a bit. So are you saying fold or limp preflop, i just hate limping preflop fta so the raise is more of a habit. Yes the biggest mistake i made was definately no raising flop(didnt think it thru really just had the draw in my mind worthy of chasing). Chasers never fold pretty much at these tables either. I guess i should have more deeply explained the table dynamics because they are almost all aggressive bad or passive at these tables or do exactly what they did here with the nuts. Now 56s full ringed early position with pf loose passive fish in blinds who fold to cbets often i will definately raise and fold to 3bet from another position other then blinds in most cases unless its a min 3bet. But majority of the time i think i will fold 56s pf early-mid position, however being 5max i may raise it utg, but considering 2nd seat being cutoff i can raise with it profitably long run fta. Any hand guide will tell you to definately play that and any good hand guide will tell you to raise it fta in good position. Either way think about it this way 5x pot so am i good here often enough to profitably call against a player i have no info on whatsoever?

there is no chance of a higher straight, he could have a lower straight, he could have a flush in conclusion i have made my mind that this would actually be a -ev call on my part considering that i will not win the race by the river 7 out of 8 times against his entire range that i put him on, and when it comes down to it he most likely had a set. Either way im happy folding and losing the bare minimum here.

Without knowing the player I would say this was a good fold. It would have bothered me that he bet so much which would suggest he was trying to force a fold but I have seen others doing this with the nuts trying to make think you might just be ahead.

Raise flop. Also what are the stack sizes? If you're both full stacked, 100BB deep I could probably find a call here. Looks like he thinks he has a big hand (overpair, set) which is scared of the flush. The only thing is he donked 5c on the flop which a lot of bad players do to draw cheaply.
Either way raise flop imo

agreed, now that i have a little history against this player, easy call lmao. He shoved bottom pair no kicker yesterday....and donked out. Anyway raise flop shouldve been the correct play, now that i have a little bit of history over the past few sessions i know that my allin calling range has been very widened against him/her. For stack sizes i did have him covered by 2:1 at the very most. He had about 84 bbs for his allin. For the donk bet 5c on the flop, i have seen many many players do that with a range of air to absolute nuts. Its a standard bet size to these types.
