SB vs Big Blind situation

You're on the SB, $1/$2 holding Q9o, Effective stack: 100BB. The player in the BB is a TAG, you have a TAG image yourself. However, cards have been running hot for you. The lat 10 hands, you have been involved, without showing down any cards.

It is folded around to you, what do you do? Versus any random hand, Q9o has a equity of 55%. You will be playing OOP if BB decides to call your raise.

Let's assume you've stole from the CO, Button a few times over 80 hands.

as part of a "balanced strategy", i will raise here sometimes.. really just depends on my current image, my opponent, and how much respect i expect my raise to get. the majority of the time i just call and play poker.

i'd throw the raise and try for the pot there a 3xBB bet is going to throw off the TAG most hands even in the big blind.

Antime you have a chance to win in the SB without showing down, take a stab at it, and Q-9os is good enough to stab with.

True, but your cards shouldn't be the only thing you consider (if fact one could argue they are pretty far down on the list). If you have played the last ten hands then your image is NOT tag-- it is quite loose. Your read of the bb is that he is a decent player. If you think he might play back at you because of your recent high volume of involvement, then you will be out of position for the remainder of the hand. These factors would argue for a fold. If you do decide to raise, be prepared to abandon ship pretty quick post flop if you get resistance after your continuation bet.
