Rush evil or not. Some of the ones I've been chatting with say rush is evil. Well i don't see it being true, whats your view and how do you play it aka hands ranges. The one thing i did find out is i can open up my range on the button, when it's folded to me, take down the Blinds, is it wrong to do. HH is to small of sample to post, but i am winning at rush.

I enjoy Rush ring games. It's relaxing, to a certain extent, which might sound like a contradiction in terms. It's almost rote, though...for me, at least. HUD gives just enough of a read on other players with most of the play simply being about the cards. It's not my preferred game. Other than a bit of Rush, I play stt exclusively. But Rush is fun and profitable. I'd probably play it more often but after about an hour, I miss the dynamics of a sng. Is it a question about whether taking down to blinds is wrong to do? It's one of the perks of rush...most people are off the table and on to the next by the time play comes around to you.

I have found playing VERY Tight and then VERY AGGRESSIVE to be the best strategy. Occassionally "trapping" works well too...stack levels CAN usually be a good indicator or "read" of a players skill level. Rush is appropriately named...one can easily be put on "tilt" from either direction. I do enjoy playing it, but variance can swing big. ... Wally |

cool Wally, i stay off of the 6 player tables, play full ring. I've made some bold bluffs in rush, both times the turn showed a 2nd king. 1 time was easy, but the 2nd time i was getting bet into, i just re-raised him with A high.. Sharky has been doing very well in rush.

I think Rush is one of the worst and best poker inventions ever. I strictly fold every hand besides AK,KK,QQ,JJ,10s and AA of course maybe w some suited aces here and there....and still manage to get beat. Its fun cuz ur not sittin there waiting for hands u just kinda shuffling til u get what u want. But then again its a bitch. I think it amplifies the variance much more which cant be a good thing.

I dislike rush poker mostly because i think that it lacks one of the aspects that i like more in poker, the study of your opponents. And yes, it s a game where you re supposed to be very aggr or very tight and too many times most donk reside in this classification.

You will note how more raise from the button. I've played 2NL and get beat when i was in with the better hand. In 10NL rush i am jumping in with 4.00, if i hit 3.00 i take off, but if i start winning, i try to wait till i hit 10.00 and then take off. |

I only played for like 2 and a half hours and made like $70 on four 10nl FR rush tables. Played tight but did good with pp and sc when there was at least one caller in pot ahead. It seems when u flop a straight or set u can usually get preflop raiser to play his aa and kk for whole stack.

re: Rush evil or not. poker I dont like rush. My opinion doesn't really count though cause I've only played rush freerolls and a couple of the 4.40's back when I had 150 bones in my BR. I know, I know, wheres the BRM? I picked it up as my money caught fire. I'd rather play standard tables though. I only tried the rush ring games once or twice. I cant even fathom the thought of 2-4 tabling rush.. That would be like starcraft with APM of 300+! Also much harder to find fishy players in rush I assume?

Four tabling rush is intense indeed! I can only do it for about one hour before I need a break. I did f**k up couple of times tho. I remeber one time I accidently folded KK preflop. Woops! Twice with AK I only managed to make min raise and just in nick of time. But good thing about rush is u don't have to wait very long for another big hand.

re: Rush evil or not. poker I wouldn't say it is evil because it is beatable i just cant beat it. I dont have a HUD and that might be necessary to be profitable. Vurrently ive been getting destroyed. I think i play to many hands out of position i often try to get lucky with pocket pairs in early position and then get four bet and get in a tough spot. I love rush poker, but it is biting my bankrole.

I am not a rush fan at all For the most part, people seem to generally play just big pairs and that is all I find. Which means the only way you'll get any action is when these two confront each other, which is rare. But in the meantime, every hand is getting raked as people are folding otherwise. I imagine the rake dollars generated per hour for tilt is pretty incredible.

Okay, so now that I have a bankroll which can withstand 5NL(thanks to the FTP Academy), I decided to actually experiment with rush. I went on a sick heater 2 tabling and after about an hour(~450) hands I was up $20. I like rush now. We'll see what I think in a week though, lol. I have no idea why I thought it would be hard to find donks. They're everywhere. In fact I think all of the old 5NL donks play rush exclusively now. Rush = divine.

re: Rush evil or not. poker I have found that rush can be very profitable in both holdem and PLO. However, there seem to be many more fish playing PLO than holdem...course this is usually the case in any structure or format. People have said that the variance is a bitch with rush. I suspect that because you are playing so many more hands than you're used to, it seems as if the variance is bad. I'm sure there are other factors but I believe this to have a definite impact. Rush Strategy: ABC poker, raise often and relentlessly in position, steal a lot of blinds. Between blinds, the occasional decent sized pot, and bonuses, you should make a nice profit.

Been playing 6 tables of $100 rush full ring. Regs seem to have tighter ranges that normal tables probably coz theres less table dynamics Im assuming. Theres a lot of fit or fold regs, fish are fish whether its rush or normal. Ive played 90k hands so far at Rush of which I have 40k at 6max, the rest FR. 6max I have found considerably harder to find a winning startegy, running like crap doesnt help.

On average you get a premium hand every 3 to 5 minutes rush, this'll surely keep you interested. Also, you find donks that'll call 5 X BB just to see a flop, they might get lucky at times but if you're able to find the right spots then rush'll surely help increase your BR. Marking constant raisers, BB defenders and uber tight players is another thing that should be kept in mind.
