| reverse implied odds i was reading small stakes hold'em, and in the section about reverse implied odds, they gave a limit hold'em example where hero held 92o and the flop comes 9c8c3d. the pot is $40 and villain bets $10. you have a made weak hand and are getting 5-1 on your money. villain may have draws or a better made hand. conclusion: fold. what surprised me here was that there was no calculations, which is very un-sklansky like. my question is, are reverse implied odds calculable? or can you not, because unlike implied odds, you put your opponent on a range of hands rather than a hand that is weaker than what you are drawing to (and so i guess you would have to calculate for the whole range). |
