Real ring game drama

Maybe its me. I play 1-2 all in style 500 max bet poker every weekend. I know how to play but it seems that i keep getting beat up on by the weakest players. Some people tell me that i need to move up in limits but I dont have enough money to do that. I dont get good value from my great hands and when i actually lose a hand i lose big. Basically the money i lose from my big hands outweighs what i make with good hands by about 2-1. How can i fix this. I want to know how to play against bad players. Do i need to move to another table when the rich people call every hand no matter what. Its ok when its one but when its 3 or more its hard. Help me

read around dres , you may know how to play but that don't mean you shouldn't be still learning. post some of your hands in the ring game analysis section. I wouldn't move up , that would be a major mistake. I would move down , until I had a firm grip on the situation.

One general question, if i am in a very loose, aggressive game I know to play only big hands, but how do u play kings against 6 people when u r under the gun and u know everyone's calling anything u put out there.

I'm pretty much on the side same as jay here...

Read around and stay at the same limit...because you definitely don't wanna move up, it gets worse from there IMO.

More rich people waste their money on stupid hands and don't care if they lose...

But read people more, if you know they throw their money away, bust them on a sweet hand...and if you can't, let them lose their money to someone else.

But yeah, post some hands and we'll be glad to help ya out, that's what we're here for, right?

Well sounds like you should try to keep pots small if your having that large of a problem. Also if your just playing big hands, players should pick up on that and start calling you with hands that are sneaky. I know what you are talking about at the casinos, but from my experience there is far more than one way to change your play and profit. Another helpful tip I can tell you is if you have kings and six people call, you should be ready to fold those kings like its 7-2o. But your not going to win every time with big hands, and maybe you should include a wider range of hands and do your best to keep pots small to minimize the amount you lose, and when you hit big, maximize the amount you win.

Its that all in part that is killing you.

Think about it for a moment. You sit at a table and start shoving everytime you play. You might win the first time, maybe even the second time, but from there on out, the other players will back down until they feel sure they have you. Then because they play better than you, they have figured out how to get you to commit so they can bust your ass.

The all in style is about like painting a target on your forehead, or wearing a sign on your back that says 'Bust Me, I'm Stupid'.

You can generally achieve the same results without putting your complete stack in the middle.
