| Thanks Fellow western new yorker. I will take a look and try to deciper that stats this evening. $80 on a program and I don't even know what the hell the numbers mean =) Anyways, What is the number of logged hands I should have before I really start feeling comfortable with my stats? |

10,000 hands is the generally accepted amount for starting to get to a statistically significant sample. |

Although I'm sure 10,000 is needed for a detailed analysis or a winnings report, but for playing tendencies 1k+ isn't enough? I use PT + PAHUD and the most hands I have on anyone is 1,489. You're telling me that all the data I use from PAHUD is worthless? I realize you're not saying that directly, and the point is that you can't make any concrete conclusions, but his sample is certainly large enough to make a few comments on. If you watch a rock and a manic play for 1k hands you're going to realize which one is which. Unfortunately he seems to have made a transcription error or else there is a problem with the program, as the results shown look extremely unlikely. |

| Does Poker Spy have a forum where these question can be answered by other user of the product? Some of these number still make no sense to this PT user. These 3 especially: VP$IP .31 - No way this is right Maybe it's supposed to be 31% and if it is your seeing fewer flops than that which could mean your trying to limp in a lot of hands and then folding to a raise. If it is 31 your loose. Bet/Bet+check .21 Raise/Raise+call .52 I think these 2 are meant to show aggression but it's not the same way PT does it so I have no idea. If the %win = PT W$ at SD yours is really low, but they could figure this number some other way. |

| Thanks WV. I do limp fold a bit too often so that is pretty accurat. A couple people have already mentioned poker tracker as an alternative to poker spy. Would you reccomend it? I also play alot of Omaha 8 and I see they have a program for that too so it may be worth the investment. |

| I use and really like PT. But I know nothing about Poker Spy and it may be worthwhile as well (once you learn to read and understand what the stats mean). The new version of PT is in beta right now and you can download the beta and use it for free to try it out. Might be worth a look anyway. ChuckTs has a thread on it here at CC with a link for download if your interested. |
