rags Funny thing happened. I was being my normal conservative ,dont push it , kinda, self. I got a K4 off suit. I was past the bb and cheap, so i called it. Missed the flop and folded. turn was a 4 , river a king... ok. Didnt see what won. Next hand comes, i get k 4. well im still behind people and big bet ahead of me folds me up. flop comes kk3. well pocket aces takes the pot with just him and and short stack all inner. next hand comes and lo and behold. k4 suited, hearts. ok. i gotta think about that. and i got a disconnect ahead of me and the pushy pocket aces dude. im 3rd fromm bb. How can this be ,,k4. ok . Well its gotta be a winner. so the big stack ahead of me, (also known as , pocket aces dude) , tosses in a hundred chips, well k4 being the monster that it is compels me to do the obligatory raise him a hundred, which comes easily to my normallly conservative nature. well the guy behind me calls and so does aces dude. Flop comes out. 4d4Ad. well mr big stacks kinda took his time and pushed out 100. Well im thinkin hes got an ace. hadda be. so i use half my clock and call him. to my surrprise the guy behind me raises 100. ok. we re all in the pot. Turn comes kd. he checks, i check the guy behind me goes all in. 600. Stacks calls so. i all in. well 600 was easy for stacks. I had 12000 chips. so he hadda think about it. he had 28000 so he did call after all.River comes . 4. Unreal. took him out later. that moved me from 10th to 3rd. had the lead a while but wound up third. Funny how the omen presented itself though. I often wondered what it is that causes guys to shoot for a wild gut shot straight in the face of aces on the board or something. I think maybe i get it now.

Great story brrdawgg. If you want some advice, I wouldn't play that hand too often. I usually tempted to play a hand that been good for the previous flops but I have to tell myself that this is a new hand and it doesn't matter what happened previously in the game. It's great that it worked out for you, just don't expect this to happen any time soon, or ever again.

LOL, rags come in handy once in awhile but odds are against you most of the time. That is usually the power of suited connectors like 78 or 67. If there is a raise preflop and then all low cards, you would expect it to miss everyone who calls the raise. You are still reaching and hoping when you play cards like that. You got the only flop that would help you.

suited connectors are a whole different story i think it is a winning play long term if you call multiway, unraised pots with em they're great for draws and playing against people who like to slow play big hands - they give you such a good opportunity to bust them and no offense brrdawg but k4 is just garbage thats something i'd never play unless heads up or something

i disagree position is powerful but i wouldnt waste chips with garbage hands regardless where i am sure you can really widen your hand selection up but to an extent edit: plus the fact that everyone has folded to you makes it more likely that someone behind you has a hand
