| Quick Stragedy on Early Stages of a MTT I found this interesting stragedy to use during early stages of a tournament that I would like to share with you. This is from my poker league's website: "At the beginning of no-limit tournaments you simply can't bluff as much because people's stacks tend to be smaller in relation to the size of the pot. Also, since the amount of chips you win from a bluff is worth less than the amount you stand to lose, bluffing loses a lot of 'value.' |

| If you are going to make the final table of a tourney, the early stages should be played extremely tight. We all know its a donkfest for the 1st hour, so don't put your whole tourney at risk by any all in pre flop bet. And consider this even if you have pocket aces, if there are already 5 people all in ahead of you, your chances of surviving the hand and remaining in the tourney are less than 30%. When I put all my money in I want to be a 4 to 1 favourite not a 70/30 dog. Think about it the next time you're considering putting your tournament life on the line. There will always be other opportunities. |
