| Basically, Pokey just got it backwards, he meant you have to win 8 times out of 11, not 3. You are risking 4bbs to win 1.5bb meaning you are getting 1.5:4 on your money (or 3:8). For you to break even in any scenario where you are getting x:y on your money, you need to win (y/x+y)%. For this equation, that is 72.7% (8 out of 11, Pokey got the percentage correct). 8 wins * 1.5bbs = +$12bbs 3 losses * -4bbs = -12bbs If your opponents fold > than 72.7% of the time, you will show a profit raising with any two cards, even if you never win a dime once called.
