PT stats..what needs improving

I've just completed 13,400k of hands at 1/2c(6tables) and i'm moving onto 2/4c. These are my Poker Tracker stats FR.

Vpip 13%
PFR 6.5%
W$WSF 35%
WToSD 19%
W$atSD 57%
TAF 4.5/2.9/2.7
bb/100 12

I do feel i'm playing 2 weak/tight post flop and do those stats reflect that thought? Even though my TAF is quite high. Should i be looking for a WtSD of around 25-30% & a W$WSF at around 40% - especially, with me playing so nitty

Your stats look pretty good to me. At the micro stakes its better to play tight and let others make the mistakes, there are so many bad players that this method is the best apporach at the micro levels.

Only enter a pot with a raise to 4x the BB and cbet most flops even if you miss, if you get players calling after the flop you can slow down.
This will help your VP and PFR which are important stats.

What is your bankroll at if you dont mind me asking??

I have set out on the 1c2c FR games just tonight in an effort to use proper BRM, my roll at the min is $100 giving me 20 buyins which i think is fine because it can be replaced at the beginning of every month if i somehow manage to lose it all anyways.

My problems with these levels come from

a) the amount of people that will chase ANY draw, no matter how much it costs them and pokerstars seemingly rewarding them for their stupid play everytime by giving them that 2 outer

and

b) my complete inability to correctly read anyones hands, you can't tell how good someones hand is when they dont know how good it is themselves

I've quickly discovered that you can't bluff people at this level but what other advice would you have for these people lol you seem to have cracked it having moved up, how much BR did you have when you moved up??

Stats look great to me.

They look fine to me. It seems like you're playing kind of a nut peddling style, but like WV is implying, it really doesn't matter what your stats are like if you're winning.

One thing you will have to change as you move up through the ranks is closing the gap between your pfr and your vpip.

For now, go ahead and hit up 2c/4c and see how you do. If you have trouble with any hands, just come post them here in hand analysis and we'll help out.

Like ChuckTs said, go ahead and move up. I know Stars' next level is $.02/$.05, so I guess your on another site? Which one?

If you start losing, move back down quickly.

I skipped $.02/$.05 and moved straight to $.05/$.10 (I also played 6-max instead of full ring) but I found the game a lot more enjoyable. Too many people play the $.01/$.02 level because they don't like losing, and those type of players aren't much fun.

K thanks for the input. I'm off to a bad start at PP with a bb/100 of -3 which is a reality check. Only 1.2k of hands so far though. So not to panic just yet. ahah they seem about my level though ..urgh.

My BR is $500 and i play at titan and party. I'll give it $50 at 2/4c and see how it goes. I mean, $460 is from winnings, so its a bit like free rolling. As for having it cracked it..far from it I'd say VM and Chuck have the lower stakes mastered.

At 2/4c i should have a 2bb/100 so far(as i've had some suck outs)..but i;ll have to hold my hands up... So far i've been out played. I'll have to look to adapt and loosen up. Many of the players at PP seem to like the all in hero bluff on the river.

ye i'll post some hands as my turn and river play is weak. Thanks for the input guys. At least, i'm on the right track with MY PT stats so far. Just needing to up my PFR a little.

Well, i had no HUD when 6 tabling at Titanpoker..i'm just trying to learn to use one now. Firstly, i didn't knwo about Hud's when i first started and i could read quite well at one table. I used GT+ a little.

So if you can play TAA at 1/2c and a neutral style...you should be able to win without reads. ye i would'nt bluff very often..just bet for value and make standard c/b. The only probs i ran into were maniac's and aggressive players, especially OOP.

It really depends on that standard of players at 1/2c.. You'd expect them to be weak. However, somedays at 1/2c i'd have 6regulars about my level mulit tablign with me. I could only be a marginal winner then(they were about my standard..1 or 2 were better than me post flop). Most of my winnings were from the totally new player. So it isn't really worth looking into it. ya know the nutter..who pushes all in wtih A8 for 100bb's eheh.

Given that you're playing $2NL the stats are fine. You will need to adapt as you move up, but you probably know this.

As you move up, aggression becomes more important. Take a look at your stats by position and see if you are becoming more aggressive as you get closer to the button, as you should be.

Generally speaking VPIP is a little low, PFR is a lot low but it works for nanolimits simply because you can happily sit back and set mine and still profit because people will pay you off when you hit. As you move past say $50NL in the future this (generally) won't serve you so well and you will have to loosen up a little.

WTSD% is a little low and W$SD is a little high - indicative of you probably folding the best hand a little too often.

Your stats look solid for 25nl, they are in the ballpark of what I do, not that I'm some 25nl superstar but I'm a consistent winner. I think ChuckTs nails it again, you're playing a tight system looking for the nuts and exploiting bad players. Its a solid system, and will be profitable through 25nl in my experience. I have not played 50nl *yet* but congrats and good luck. Wonderful BB/100 numbers!

Hey ice, i liked your poker blog. Some right sick beats in those video's. The JJ vs AQ was unbelieveable Btw where is chuck's video on your game? I'd love to see that. I'm assuming it was posted on the forum? or was it a private thing.

Little update and i'm after some advice. Right, i've played around 9k since my last post over 6-9tables and had a pathetic bb of 1 haha(some 2/4c and mostly i'm back at 1/2c). Well its still been enjoyable and its better than losing. However, i'm just wondering about increasing my PFR to my Vpip as i can't get my head around it. You've suggested it here and i've read it alot in other places. Well due to the 2week downswing and many hours of frustration. I thought, i'd try what u pro's have suggested and it stilll seems hard for me to grasp.

So ideally, i should be around 17/13 or something close to that full ring. But wouldnt that mean i'd have to raise all my PP's? AQ's as i know harrington said you can call with AQ if you have limpers(which i'm seriously starting to question). So you advocate a raise or fold policy pre flop. Either i'm comfortable raising or i dump it - 75% of the time.

I seemed to answer my own question before, when i played 1,000 hands and ran sick hot or was it was just a good run - i'm not sure(i'll probaby find out when i next play). I must have been running at 20+ bb/100. I was using PT3 and if i was in pos. and the limpers were either a) loose or b) had high fold to flop bet/cb %.. i'd raise with almost any range in the CO or button with weak blinds. I was also opening with a raise with pp's which seemed strange i.e 22 UTG 1. I know chucky suggested limping with 22-66 UTG - 1. But if do this i'd always be at my current Vpip/PFR.

Anyhow, am i on the right wavelength to what ur suggesting. I think i am... . I suppose, i'm after some reassurance - i felt a bit uneasy doing it and was questioning myself a bit =) i've just raised with 33 UTG errr. Anyways, thanks for the comments. I really appreciate it and it has certainly helped my game and given me some things to consider.
