Harrintons new two book series on NL Tourneys is the best I have read on NL Tourney play.
I just started reading the 2nd edition today. The first edition takes you through the first half of a Tourney and the 2nd edition takes you the rest of the way. Both are aout 450 pages each. Sklansky is a master of the numbers. |

mike sextons (shuffle up and deal) is great for beginner to itermidiate level but dave sklansky i say is the best
david sklansky's books are for when rack all your money to vegas on a 7 stud table high stakes and get mid -evil on some1 programmed players will disagree with his books especially (seven card stud for advanced players) if your interesting on reading one of books i mentioned PM me ill give you details Last edited by newjerseykid99 : 24-06-2005 at 6:58 PM. Abdul Jalil deserves to be on this list
These are certainly the great poker authors, but Abdul Jalib deserves a spot. His preflop strategy turned a lot of heads. I believe his essays are also very highly regarded, even by the the other authors you have mentioned.

I don't really care what anyone says negative about him, the NLHE section of Phil Hellmuth's Play Poker Like the Pros is a great tool for understanding the mindset and play of one of the greatest No Limit tournament players in history. Love him or hate him, you have to give him his credit.
