Pocket pair MP/LP facing PF raise from UTG/UTG+1
At 25NL how would you play a UTG raise in lets say MP3 (right of CO) with pocket JJ? Assuming no reads I say poker basics will dictate a 3.5x raise. Is that how you would play with any pair?
Now what if UTG comes back over the top with a 3.5x reraise? What percentage chance would you assign to AA and KK, what percentage to AK/KQ and what percentage to anything else? (I did not include QQ with KK and AA because you are often in a situation facing a 3bet with QQ as well) |

Assuming there are no limpers, and you have no read on your oppenent, I would put him on AK (or maybe AQ if villian is hyper aggro or not very good) maybe half the time and a higher pocket pair the other half. If you call and hit your set, your gonna get paid, if an ace or king falls you can fold, or if there are three lower cards you are gonna have a tough decesion to make when UTG c-bets.
I would make the call and see how the flop goes since we have position, and I'd be prepared to fold if the flop is good but there is a very strong raise. |
