Playing JJ for set value early in tournaments?

Wondering what people think about the idea of playing all pairs up to JJ for set value and just limping with them early in tournaments. It's not something I do, yet, but I was toying around with the idea. I repeat, this is all referring to early stages of a tournament.

QQ, KK, and AA all seem to pay greater dividends to raising and isolating because as the pairs get higher, it's likelier to find yourself against another player who makes TPTK while you're ahead with the overpair, i.e. AJ on a Jxx board or AQ on a Qxx when you have KK or AA. Then you'll often be able to get it all-in in great shape. This is much less likely when you're raising and isolating with JJ, because you'd need a player with AT to call your raise and then hit a T high board.

AJ-AT seems to be a cutoff for many players; in my experience playerare much more likely to call a raise with AJ than AT, probably having a lot to do with the sheer psychological reason that a J is a facecard.

Basically, JJ seems to have exponentially less profit potential on its own because the overpair vs. TPTK situation that makes QQ, KK, and AA so profitable is far less likely to happen with JJ. I feel like I'm destined with JJ to either lose a big pot or win a small pot. The times I win the big pot with JJ are almost always, in my experience, going to be when I hit a set anyway, in which case raising and isolating fewer opponents pre-flop doesn't seem to be favorable, in the long run.

I know there are pros and cons to this strategy; just looking for some insight. Thanks.

Part of my tournament strategy is to play 66-JJ like that. I seems to work pretty well in early position for some reason. Limp and then a small bet on the river unless A or K is on the flop. If you get raised then a fold is probably a good idea.
You pretty much should have an average stack at the table and can afford to lose 2-3 BB. You can also expect a tough decision on the turn and river if you go that far.
Thats how I've been playing them and the results have been ok...probably up a bit because when I hit my set I'm in good shape.

IMO JJ is too strong to sit on, from any position. If you limp, your inviting the CO and button to raise with any medium hand. You'll never know what your up against. I rarely push from EP with a hand like this, but what's wrong with a standard raise of 3-4xBB? You'll trim the field down for certain. If you get HU then continue with 1/2 to 1/3 on any flop containing only 1 overcard. Same thing with no overcards. Vs 2 or more callers be a little more cautious.
