playing DS MTTs
What is the best way to play a Double Stack (DS) MTT?
Should I play it like a normal stacked MTT and play tight early on, then get more aggressive later in the rounds? Or can I take a few gambles early on because my stack is so big compared to the blinds? |

Implied odds are much higher, and you should definitely try to see a cheap flop with any pair or suited connector. I'll limp with worse, but don't go overboard with it.

I play lots of these on Full Tilt. In the early stages you can see flops in position with hands like small pairs, and suited connectors, A-xs in the hope of flopping a monster or monster drawing hand.
Later on it plays like an standard MTT. |
