playing against annoying feeler bets

in a short stack tourmnment a certain player allways bets around 30 chips after the flop (out of a 450 starting stack). i try 2 avoid pots with him but sometimes i have cards i cant fold pre flop, i try raising pre flop but he often calls. how should i play to avoid lousing my blinds every time hes in a pot and i dont hit on the flop? if he has a hand and i call him to the end i may louse a lot of money. He will oftern call a reraise, but then fold on a big turn bet if he has nothing, but this is a risky strategy as he may have a hand. he seems to be able to pick up more money by stealing blinds through out than i do wen i have a hand. Any suggestions please?

You say you run into him often so....
If you have the opportunity trap him. Punish him for pushing against you.

It acts like a blocking bet, blocking you from having a clear picture of what is going on. If he is insistent he will win a lot of little pots, and lose a few bigger pots.

You know he is not hitting every hand, you know he is playing ATC every hand. But that info doesn't really help does it?

I ran into one earlier today, min bet every hand. Calling station. That low level pressure is as bad as a true LAG like joose.

Be patient, remember position, because he has no regards for position, and be prepared to pounce .

With this type of opponent, when I have the nuts on the flop, I just check, knowing that this type of player will always throw his chips in the middle and save me the trouble.
I love trapping these types of players because it's so easy to do because you don't really need to bait the trap, the fish will swim in with ease.

bet your bet regardless of his blocking bet, you bet the size that you want. I'd check raise him every time I'd raise and bet again on the turn, even with nothing If i thought he was weak, let him know he's gonna have to pay to take the risk that you don't have anything. This'll help to get him off your back and to get your hands paid off against you, theres no way he can believe you if your check raising most of his bets.
