How do you phsyce yourself up to WIN???? I've place in the money a couple of times, but, always seem to loose that competitive edge when I get there.

I agree....Poker is a thinking game like chess where emotions shouldnt factor into the decisions you make. You psyc yourself up if your about to box imo.

The first notion is to NOT psyche yourself UP, if anything psyche yourself DOWN.

To much energy in the early stages will inevitably lead to poor decisions and a fast departure.

Cool, calm, collected would be the ideal state of mind.

Like most anything, just keep plugging until you get used to it. Try focusing (little joke there ), on each hand & how it is being played by your opponents & not the ramifications of each hand.
