Opening Hand Ranges 10NL (Full Ring) When sitting down at a table with mostly unknowns I like to use the following opening hand selection until I get a read on the table dynamics and opponents. Once I have played an hour or so I start to adjust my requirements . I would really love some feedback: EP: AA - JJ AKs-AQs. AKo MP: AA - 88 AKs-ATs AKo- AQo KQs LP: AA -55 AKs - A8s AKo - ATo KQs - KTs, KQo- KJo, QJs - QTs, QJo, JTs Dealer: AA - 22, Any Ace, K7s+, K9o+, Q9s+, QTo+, JT, J9s, T9s- 65s If you count the range of hands MP hands are 2x wider than EP, LP 2x wider than MP and Dealer is 2x LP, so the Dealer range is 1/2 of the entire range of hands listed so I try to make this heavily positional. In the blinds I will complete the SB if limped ONLY with 77-22 and ATs - A2s, otherwise I play as if UTG. 3 Bet range AA - 88, AK,AQ,AJs, KQs 4 Bet range AA - JJ AK Unless on the button I try to adhere to strictly raise/ fold preflop. On the button I will call a standard raise with pp 77-22, ATs-A2s & Suited Connectors KQs-65s. This is the only time I play fit/ fold. Otherwise if I raise preflop I c-bet almost 100% of the time. This play may seem very ABC but I am trying to really learn how to play online micro NL. Thoughts?? Last edited by fx20736 : 21st August 2010 at 12:33 PM.

Im playing NL10 aswell. I'd raise w/ any PP from any pos. Reason why: UTG ur delt 33. U raise to 2.5xBB/3xBB. MP reraises u too 9xBB. U must be playing full stack (100BB), so u can call (OOP aswell) to set mine. Here's an exapmle mate: No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (7 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com BB ($10) UTG ($9.65) Hero (MP1) ($10) MP2 ($3.60) CO ($11.38) Button ($6.07) SB ($3.66) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 5 , 5![]() 1 fold, Hero bets $0.35, 1 fold, CO raises $1, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.65 Flop: ($2.15) 9 , 5 , Q (2 players)Hero checks, CO checks Turn: ($2.15) 2 (2 players)Hero bets $1.50, CO calls $1.50 River: ($5.15) K (2 players)Hero checks, CO bets $3.50, Hero raises $7.50 (All-In), CO calls $4 Total pot: $20.15 Results: Hero had 5 , 5 (three of a kind, fives).CO didn't show Outcome: Hero won $18.81 It says CO didnt show but he had AA.

Don't set mine OOP in 3bet pots unless your at least ~150BB deep. You won't be making any $$ doing it with 100BB effective stacks. You should be looking for implied odds of at least 15-1 to set mine at all times. As for your ranges, I think you can add some pairs at each position. My default is 77+ EP, 22+ MP on.

re: Opening Hand Ranges 10NL (Full Ring) poker The HH posted is not profitable i nthe long run, as WVHillbilly said. The best way to do it is to run ranges in Stove, starting with a very narrow range for UTG/EP and loosening up to the button. Talk to players who are winners at the stakes you play over large samples and ask for the stats they play at
