The only way to make money

If you wanna walk away with a few extra bucks in your pocket, and not a gapping hole. You're gonna have to learn how to walk away when you are ahead. This sounds stupid but in reality is really hard to do.

I like that Idea.... 25% really would be a good percent to go by, not to big not to small. I'm gonna try and follow that, thanks.

I definatly agree that its a good idea to walk away when your winning, if your a beginner. But if your an advanced player, you will know your table pretty well, and maximize profits by adjusting to the style of the table.

playing online rather then letting my money roll., i usually get up and leave the table so that i keep my winnings then go to another table with the minimum buy in, if u dont do that,m u are bound to lose all of your money

yeah i also like to get up and leave whenever im up and have been sitting at the table. i keep this in mind whenever im up in chips. "Just because i'm up doesnt mean i can start playing loose." dont be temped to call small bets because you have a lot of money. another thing i keep in mind is "Now that i have chips, i have work on keeping them". whenever you sit down to play, your goal is to make money. after you made some, you goal should be not only to make more, but not to lose the money you have made. you're not gonna win every pot and might get unlucky a lose a huge, chunk but thats poker and if you played right theres nothing you can do about it. if you find yourself calling bets and raises with any hand and you chip stack goes from say $300 + down to $150+ in less then an hour..you really need to rethink the way you play.

It is really hard to walk away, and I have alot of trouble doing it. But the 25% rule sounds pretty good. I'm going to try it and see if I can follow it. It makes alot of sense and at least I know I will have some in the bank for the next day!!
Usually I have a weekly limit I try to stay under, so using the 25% rule I might actually make some extra cash!!

Thanks for the tip guys and girls!
