| Online Poker Tell that can be helpful I don't know if this is standard or if everyone knows already but I think I found a slightly advantageous online tell that I sometimes use. This is just my opinion that I think I figured out based on my experience. Do not take this as a fact. I want to know if this is a good or flawed assumption. On the "find player" option on full tilt, i search someone's name. If the person is playing 8 tables or more, it's most likely that the person will be playing very tight and mostly play his cards, rarely bluff. This is for cash games. While discussing someone's post on the cc thread "Eastern Europeans", I happened to remind myself of a tell that I kind have learned from my experience. Most South Koreans players I've seen on Full Tilt tend to play over 10 tables, all of them have auto-top up maximum buy-in, and play super tight, producing rakeback and when they flop a monster, they try to get maximum value out of it. Most of their betting ends on the turn because they like to put players in decision for all of their chips and put all of their money in while they have the best of it. I figured this out and tend to stay away from them whenever they're in a pot while donks have no sense and become their victims by getting involved in a huge pot against them. While learning their strategies, I learned that many multi-tablers who play more than 8 tables will rarely bluff and mostly play tight poker because they're too busy playing many tables and cannot concentrate on other players and what kind of players are at their table. Using this knowledge, I figured that you can steal their blinds very often, make many continuation bets on the flop to take down the small pots and play small-ball. Tell me your opinion on the tell that I kind of made up. Is this a good tell to know or is this very flawed? So far, I used this to my advantage and worked ok but I cannot validate my "tell" based on my poker experience at microstakes. I never found this tell on any online poker books. |

| I'm going to make the assumption that you play micros (most people do), and in those you can steal blinds relentlessly. At a lot of tables stealing with less than about 70% of hands from the button (and a little tighter in CO) is a huge leak in my opinion. This is because the players are bad, not because of how many tables they're playing. As Belgo said, the regs are playing more tables than the fish and will be the first to start 3betting you light. |

| re: Online Poker Tell that can be helpful I also steal all the time in the micro tables. Im playing 6 max mostly, so its even more important, but its just too easy. Many times, even when someone realizes Im doing this and calls, he will fold to a cbet on the flop. It is great great money . |

| yeah players multi tabling or usually always better than people 1 tabling so I would just target the fish i.. iso there raises and play pots with them in position...i think this will be more profitable than the odd blind steal that multi tablers will notice and 3/4 bet light. |

| everything you said i can agree with except the fact that you can easily bluffem. They could have easily had a low pair and caught a set. So i say double check how long it takes them to respond. some times if i notice a person uses auto fold i always bet the min just to see if they released the auto fold button to make a move. |

My roommate thought that he might've figured out a pattern. We saw about 10 South Korean players. Most of them were playing tables ranging from 12-16. They were all deep-stacked and have all of them on auto-top up. They rarely played any pots, limp with any pocket pairs Tens or lower, and raise VERY aggressively pre-flop with any high pocket pairs. On the flop, if they flop a set or better, they bet out very aggressively again. On the turn, if they feel they got the nuts or strong hand, they shove their whole chipstack, whether it's silly overbet or not, and put their opponent in decision for all of their chipstack. Donks who have no common sense or have not payed attention to the table get involved with them and lose to them. Based on this, my roommate assumed that they're likely former starcraft players transitioning to poker. He told me, best thing to do against these guys is, frequently steal their blinds, play small-ball, make lot of c-bets, abort immediately when there are huge reraises or if he's willing to get in a huge pot with you, of course not when you have the nuts or strong hand yourself. They're playing too many tables to even know if you're bluffing or not. And then we happened to correlate multi-tablers with nits since they're too busy with many tables that they cannot focus and concentrate on players at their table. But you pointed out a very good point to fix my flawed assumption. Guys like Elky can play 36 tables and still crush most of the tables he plays. |

| hmmmmmmmmmmmm very interesting. assuming a good player doesn't bluff can't be accurate because that is one of the things that makes a good player. when i read up on how i play that was one of the reccomendations they gave me--to bluff more.?? i think this is just a good player or players who play tight. again very interesting. |

So according to the above quote that means Daniel Negraneau is a fish, as he was only playing 1 table when he was playing yesterday. Comments like these are just dumb, and I would say it no matter who spews it. Negreanu was playing $25nl |
