| Depends, but generally yes, unless I have people before me raising with A2 or A3, 23 etc, You do have an A-6 low, not the best but not bad if the flop comes up low cards. like 2-4-5. If playing HU or 3-way, I would 3-bet it, more than that, I'd still probably raise but it would depend on how many people are in the pot and my position at the table. | HI I Raise the pot in that situation . First we have a pair of AA . Second we have a possibility of a flash with the letter greater. In the low letter we dont have as 2, 3 that is a negative point, but not always the case of low status. Therefore an increase in pot is a good choice. |

If it's folded to me in middle/late position then a raise is almost certainly correct. I'm hoping everybody folds or I at least get to see the flop w/ position. If I'm opening the pot from early position then I'd still raise but I wouldn't be happy about it. I'm certainly not going to re-raise anybody. The problem with this type of hand is that it lacks coordination. Unless you flop your set (or flush/draw) you're really not going to know where you're at. Middle cards 6-9 are total crap in hi-lo games. |

I'm detecting a Texas line of thinking in an Omaha game. The goal in hi/lo games is to scoop the pot. Not half and not quarter. You're not so much raising based on the pre-flop "ranking" of your hand but on the chances that your hand has to make the nuts. AAxx w/ to middle cards is nothing like AA23. With AA68 I'm going to raise to pick up the blinds or pick off a tight limper. I'm not raising on the value of my hand so much as using it as an excuse to raise. I just don't want you running off and dropping a couple bills playin 8/16 O8 potting with AA56... |

I should have ponted out, I play a lot of pot limit. In a limit game I might limp some/ raise some with this hand, depending on position, stack size v blinds, etc. |

| When I'm playing Omaha 8 and I get AA It will depend on my other 2 cards.AA23, ( Raise of course), But I will also raise usually any AAxx ( 2 low cards lower than 7) Unless a whole load of rasing has gone before me. AA with 2 high cards is usually a fold for me unless i get like AAQK (ds) In which case I will play this hand.AA78, is a hard hand to play, if it's suited or doubled suited I might play it, but if it's not I might have to fold if it has been raised or even limped to me before.. |
