Omaha H/L
Can anyone HELP have played this a few times but get so confused with the high low hands, if an ace is on board/hand and you cannot make a true straight, i have seen people win hands with a2456 and so on. Any help on this game would be much appreciated.

In any low game, the lowest 5 cards win that side of the pot. A2345 is the lowest possible in most cases. The A2456 you mention is a hand I would bet a lot of money on as it would win a majority of the time. Most have a low limit of an 8, which means the worst possible low that would qualify would be 87654. To determine the winning low hand, start at the highest card in each and work your way down. For example:
A2346 would beat A2356 and would lose to A2345 |

Good way to learn is the look at the hand history closely at the winning low hands.
In Omaha hi/lo to make a low hand you need to use 2 from your hand and 3 from the board to make a hand of 8 or lower. How they rank is opposite of what you think. You start with the 8 and work your way to the ace. examples: 87654 76543 winner because 7 is lower than 8 85431 84321 winner becase his second card was a 4 86421 86321 winner because his third card is a 3 |
