Now its 7 straight

seven straight SNGs at various levels, and 7 straight runner-up finishes. Can't believe it for the life of me. One time, i managed to pick up QQ and raised, was reraised all in so of course i called, Was up against KK, so i lost that one. then I pick up AK, raise of course, reraised all in, i call, against JJ. i lose. Then, the worst one. I raise with KQs get a q56 flop, i bet, get raised all in, call and I'm against 25o and the river is a 5.

i just can't seem to get passed the plateau. it is hurting me.

It seems like you were getting unlucky draws. When it gets to about three left, the big factor at that point is luck, especially when the blinds are getting big. I would be happy to place 2nd place in ALL seven sit n gos. You probably made a good profit overall so I think you played successfully overall.

I've had a string like that........several back to back 2s and 3s can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong.....the only way I have been able to break it is to do one of 2 things.......1 try and tilt the other player by using all of the clock everytime you have to make a play some ppl just can't handle it and would make a bad decision just to get away from you.......the other and it seems like bad advice but it always seems to work for me be content that you made second and let the dogs loose play hands like 3/10 as if you were holding KK and not just to the flop if he checks a flop all in the next move keep pushing your opponent until they lose control.........I usually find that my normal conservative style can leave me stagnant and lead to a lot of 2nds and 3rds and breaking the mold sometimes breathes a lil new and refreshing wins besides the best part about winning heads up with 52os vs JJ is 1/3rd of the ppl you beat will hunt you with tilt and vengence making their money a little easier to pocket

That happens to me more often than not once I get to the final table, but still 5 ppl left or so - good cards that get beat with unbelievable luck.

My best luck playing heads up is usually in the $5 heads up matches. Heads up is a completely different game and it comes down to, like you said, a lucky draw to win it all. Playing a few of those will give you some practice and when it comes down to heads up at a SNG or MTT, you will be better prepared.

I love when a table clears out and I end up heads up with average joe. I can usually make them fold every hand by betting aggressive and I always have sucked them out of at least 2 X BB each hand.
