Hi, I've been researching strategies for Omaha Hi/Lo and I am confused about the rules a little bit.
When making your Hi and Lo hands: do you use exactly 2 cards for everything? must you use all 4 cards? Can you use the same 2 cards for your high hand and your low hand? Can you use all 4 cards, 2 for your high hand and 2 for your low hand? Thanks for helping me with this. Obviously I can begin think about playing until I know this very basic rule. |

Here's an example from a hand I played tonight... by the results you can see which cards were chosen for the high and low hands.
Poker Hand Converter Tool So since A3 gave me the best low and 35 gave me the best high those cards were selected. The 9 was not used for either hand (and generally isn't -- you typically don't want 7, 8, or 9 in your hand since they rarely help). |
