NLHE Cash Game Questions Hi all, I want to start playing more NLHE ring games to start making a steady profit over time, however, I do have a few questions: 1. What table stats should I be looking for in poker lobbies? 2. Should I play 6 handed or 9 handed tables? 3. When playing at a table when should I leave? (By this I mean, if loosing how many buy-ins should I loose before I leave and if winning how much should I start thinking of leaving the table with, when I have doubled my money?) 4. Is it worth multi-tabling if so, why? 5. Whats the quickest way to work out drawing odds in NLHE, is there some simple maths I can do in my head? Thanks James Godfrey

a couple other tips: - keep a full stack or close to it. you want to maximize value when you have the best hand, especially against fish. if you lose half a stack, reload. - Holdem Manager, or another HUD, is very useful if you don't already use one. - Read the Golden Archive, and tons of Hand Analyses here on CC, tons of useful info about cash games in there

re: NLHE Cash Game Questions poker Personally I try to keep the Max BI at all times. The big stack at any NLHE game will always have an edge. I also play pretty solid over all and will try to pressure the small stacks when I can. They tend to play way to tight in fear of going broke.

Search and read thru topics you want answers or info on at sites like "Cardschat". First and foremost, study up on Correct "Bankroll Management". Think about investing in sites like "Cardrunners", "PokerXFactor", etc. Watch proven players play online and use their real time advice to make you a winning player. If the sites you play at allow it, invest in Tracking Programs to monitor your play and the play of your opponents. There are plenty of Threads on these programs to be found via the search function. Discuss your losses at least as much or more than your wins. It'll help you fix your weaknesses. Only talking about your wins, (like most of us do), will have a negative impact on your game in the long run because it only focuses on the positives. They don't need any fixing, the negatives do. Multi-tabling allows you to earn more, but also can cause you to lose more of course. Only play as many tables as you are comfortable with and profitable. If you go from 2 to 3 tables and start to show a loss, go back to 2 tables until you are ready for more. More tables allow me to be more comfortable and lower the "Boredom" factor. It also lets me deal with losing big pots too. If I have 6 or 8 tables open and lose a big pot at one table, hopefully the money I have at the other tables counteracts that one loss so I can forget about it and move on. Losing a pot for a couple hundred dollars at one table doesn't hurt as much if my profits at the other tables cancels it out. I also find that multi-tabling adds to my consistency and keeps me from getting too fancy at limits I shouldn't be getting fancy at. It also adds to Rakeback and Bonus releases obviously. Speaking of Rakeback, if you plan on playing a lot, (or at all for that matter), you should not be playing unless you have Rakeback. (Stars has no rakeback, but have a decent Reward System for members). Just my thoughts....
