Have you guys heard about this new book from David Slanky? I want to know how good is it because I may buy it.

hmm i liked it. had some theory i enjoyed, but its a number book.

In all honesty, I bought the book more on the merits of Ed Miller than on David Sklansky.

It's a good read.

should I buy this or Harrington's books ? I just hate that I would have to buy all 3 of his volumes if I get the first one and I dont feel like buying all the poker books out there?

Yeah I am a huge proponent of Harrington's books which are by far the best I've read for my game, but as F Paulsson mentioned Volume 1 is all about full tables and full stacks and Volume 2 is about short tables, rising blinds, short stacks, and head's up.

Depends on what you're trying to achieve. If you want to shape up your NL cash game, buy Harrington vol 1. The second volume won't be of as much use to you for that purpose.
