Need help playing later stages in tournaments!!!

I have been playing lot of free rolls lately and it seems like i always go out at the same time.. Out of 3000 playrs i finish in range of 300-700 place. I can never get passed the stage where chips are at 10-20 k.

Like today for example, i played in 30pts tournament and out of 1100 players i went out at 176. I had 10 k in chips and was with 3 other guys that had 10 k chips. They constantly kept raising blinds to like 500-850 etc. I wasnt getting too many cards so i was patient and whenever i would get like KQ or AJ i would get nothing on the flop. If i try to bet on the flop they would immediately push all in. If i checked they would bet 1000 or so. What is the best way to play after the brake. It seems like i can never make it past the stage where its get to lot of chips. Even in RL i ALWAYS make final table but can never win. We play every other Saturday w friends $20 tournament, usually 15-16 players show up. It does seem like whenever i get to that level i get crappy cards and when i do get good cards nothing comes on the flop. Whats the best way to play this situation.

Today i had 11k chips ,i was patient waiting for my perfect cards to come. I got KK the guy raised i re raised he went all in i called and he beat me with AK because A showed up on the turn.




Also i am starting to think that Freerolls are not good way to learn tournament play because people are likely to call just about anything. Another example that happened is this guy kept raising and every time i played against him he would raise big or go all in. I didnt believe he was making hands all the time and when i called his raise with 10 J and flop came in at 2 3 10 i figured he didnt have anything and i went all in. I WAS RIGHT but he called me with A J and cought a J on river to kick me out. Now i dont think this would happen if this was money tournament, no way a player would call all in w A high if it was money tournament.

BTW, don't let the poor play in freerolls bother you or you will fall into the play you have been seeing in freerolls.

Its not like i got a choice. I am from US and cannot deposit money on bod dog so i have to try to win freeroll before i can start playing for actual money tournaments.
