Multi-Tabling Cash vs Tourny

Which is harder? I find it pretty easy to multi table cash but in my opinion.
Opinions welcome.

Tournys are harder.

I think it will change from person to person but for me, tournys are def harder to multi. I like to play tight at first, and loose at the end. Its hard to play 4 tables loosely for me. In online cash games its much easier to just sit and wait for hands. When the tournys get down to few people, they move too fast for me to keep up with in a profitable manner.

uhh i guess its 'harder' to multitable MTTs, but its sort of comparing apples and oranges

I would definitely say tourneys/SnG's.

The dynamics change a lot more and if you get down to heads up action at 2 or more tables during the same time period, decision making abilities can drop a lot more than at a steady ring game.

Ring games you tend to keep the same amount of opponents, blinds are steady, and if you have pokertracker you can gather a lot more facts about the players.

Personally I feel more comfortable in tournaments just because I have a little more experience with them compared to cash tables.

I find multi tabling cash tables to be easier,as you always know exactly where you are,just by the total cash you are holding at each table.
With mtt's,you are always changing positions,and stack amounts,in relation to other players,and you have to keep checking,where you stand in the tournaments,as they progress.

In tourney luck counts more and it's foundamental to go at least ITM

In cash your skills counts more.

I always multi-table a mix of both. Its nice to have a SnG open where you're on the bubble, and then a couple of cash games going as well.

I would most definately disagree here. I do well in both cash and tourney. It is just two different kinds of skills. Same thing with small sit and go's. I know great tourney players that absolutely suck at sit and go's. I think alot of cash game players that do play an occasional Mtt get frustrated because of bad beats and such. Believe it or not but there are skills involved in staying away from bad beats. It happens, but if you look at good tourney players they consistently avoid the beats that happens in mtt's.

Tournaments are probably harder because eventually in a tournament you'll get to a stage like the bubble or a short-handed table where the game demands more attention from you.

I can play a couple of full tables happily enough, but trying to play two bubbles at the same time or worse, a bubble and a heads up, drives me nuts.

To cash consistently: Tournaments
To win several times your buy-in: Ring games
Play tired: Tournaments. You can always quit ring games, and the blinds stay small so there's simpler/less-severe stack considerations. IE, you can zone out and play ABC poker in rings and get away with it. But in tournaments increasing blinds increase the consequences of your bad plays.
To win the most $ possible in the long run: That depends on a lot of factors. Playing one tournament vs multi-tabling rings, I think most people will agree that a player with equal skills in both disciplines will make more multi-tabling ring games. But multi-rings vs multi-tabling tournaments, I don't know. Some people have a lot of success with tournaments (Sharkscope Tatta or BCM11 for example).

Of course, if you play what makes you happy, you win either way.

I personal i prefer tournements i dont feel
comfortable playing cash games
