| MTT'S This question is in regards to mtts, I want to get better (don't we all?), because of this reason I've actually changed my game plan up dramatically, and by this I mean I wont play a hand, under AJ suited, in early postion, and in middle postion I only play, sc's, mid pairs, and above average starting hands, now the problem is that, A), I usually end up losing on my first or 2nd or 3rd hand that I play in, when I finally decide to play, just earlier today, I think I folded, until I really woke up with a real hand in that game, and then when I finally woke up with a real hand, it was my last hand. Now my question is was there a way I could've kept the other player from going all in? I know it's dumb, but it's been bugging me for sometime now. Just take look Table '99357397 212' 9-max Seat #7 is the button Seat 1: selkies111 (2920 in chips) Seat 2: luckydeane (1770 in chips) Seat 3: homer2422 (1335 in chips) is sitting out Seat 4: Rusty2992 (1425 in chips) is sitting out Seat 5: hap6768 (1625 in chips) Seat 6: JTRAS (1405 in chips) Seat 7: trashee74 (3095 in chips) Seat 8: Pookie_Chips (1425 in chips) Seat 9: abdi122 (1470 in chips) Pookie_Chips: posts small blind 25 abdi122: posts big blind 50 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to abdi122 [Ks Kh] selkies111: folds luckydeane: folds homer2422: folds Rusty2992: folds hap6768: folds JTRAS: folds trashee74: folds Pookie_Chips: calls 25 abdi122: raises 150 to 200 Pookie_Chips: raises 1225 to 1425 and is all-in abdi122: calls 1225 *** FLOP *** [9d Ac Jd] *** TURN *** [9d Ac Jd] 3♥ *** RIVER *** [9d Ac Jd 3h] 2♦ *** SHOW DOWN *** Pookie_Chips: shows [As Qs] (a pair of Aces) abdi122: shows [Ks Kh] (a pair of Kings) abdi122 said, "lmao" Pookie_Chips collected 2850 from pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 2850 | Rake 0 Board [9d Ac Jd 3h 2d] Seat 1: selkies111 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 2: luckydeane folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 3: homer2422 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 4: Rusty2992 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 5: hap6768 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: JTRAS folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 7: trashee74 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 8: Pookie_Chips (small blind) showed [As Qs] and won (2850) with a pair of Aces Seat 9: abdi122 (big blind) showed [Ks Kh] and lost with a pair of Kings Now it's not the fact that I lost that's the piss off, it's the fact that I didn't even have a choice, as to weather we see a cheap flop or not, and I know I could've let it go once the ace came up, I play my big hands big but this is the problem that arises with them, So my question to all is, is there anything that I really did wrong, I mean, these were my stats for that game btw, The only hands that I played in were my blinds, am I being to damn tight in these mtts, should I just loosen up, and you play everypot so when and If I do happen to lose a big pot like this I would have enough chips to still be in the game, or should I just keep at this type of game? 12 hands played and saw flop: - 1 times out of 2 while in small blind (50%) - 1 times out of 2 while in big blind (50%) - 0 times out of 8 in other positions (0%) - a total of 2 times out of 12 (17%) Pots won at showdown - 0 out of 2 (0%) Pots won without showdown - 0 |
