Moving Up Advice $50NL?

I recently took a shot at $50NL FR and got walloped. Mostly bad beats and bad cards with a plummeting redline. I found some leaks... mostly problems playing the BB... I think my game is "okay".

My real concern is with game selection. From my limited experience (I think 8k hands, maybe more) the $50 FR games on Stars are horrible. At least, compared to the $25 games. The $50 games are WAY tighter and plagued by short stackers. Either you're playing a 50BB min table against rocks or you're playing a table full of guys w/ $10 stacks. The good games I did find didn't seem to last long... you finally get a fish at the table and everybody leaves.

Just frustrating, NOT fun.

I'm curious if 6max is the same?

Doing some scouting, it seemed like the $100 FR games were actually better than the $50. But, I'm not rolled for them yet...

So, grind through FR and learn to cope or back down and ramp up my 6max game?

I vote for FTP as well. Full Ring 50NL at FT is great, especially since they made 30BB the minimum. I hate shortstackers almost as much as WVH does. I'm currently playing 25NL and am getting ready to take the next step to 50NL myself. My bankroll is a tad over 1k, but once I hit 1100-1200 I think I'm going to take a shot.

20-25 BIs is pretty standard BRM.

If your edge is 15bb/100, then sure...

What would you recommend for say between a 5-10 bb/100 win rate?

30+ buy ins?

40+ buy ins?

I'm a bankroll nit, so I just rock 40 all the time.
