Mood matters Do you guys experienced playing poker not in the mood? I already did this one time and it really matters a lot. I played online poker so tired, school problem, etc. aw!! and every hand I got, I lose. And almost hand, I call. I don't do Folds which is not that good especially low cards. That's why I don't play poker with a buzz in my mind. But I never tried playing poker drunk. LOL. So what it feels like? You might get a Royal Flush. Careful guys, you might lose your money in just a hand.

I never tried playing poker while not in the mood but I do know that it will affect your decisions when your on play. It is still advisable to play in the mood. Some poker players even exercises everyday to keep them physically fit because it is said that keeping your self healthy will make your brain work great that will make you good decisions and concentrations on the table

re: Mood matters poker If you`re in a bad mood or on TILT, go take a walk or grab a bite to eat or do something else till you get over it. If you are not in the mood to play you are just wasting your money. I only drink if I`m playing 2/4 limit with newbies or ladies or scared people who don`t raise alot cause then you can just play good hands or good drawing hands and still clear a profit even if you`re flat out drunk. Good times!

I'd agree mood is a big factor. It can be a factor in how you will do before you even sit down, if for example you have issues in your life that are on your mind. Or it can effect you hand to hand, for example if you just took a tough beat. Tommy Angelo wrote about this in his book. I haven't read it but I think he talks about playing your A, B, and C games. It's really tough to try to always play your A game, but it's more feasible to try to AVOID playing your C game, and a lot of that is controlling or being aware of your Mood. DonkeyKong
