moneymaker freeroll at pokerstars

I've been entering this freeroll for weeks without success and would like any advice on how to gain a chip lead early in the game.

I'll let you know after I play in one tonight. Just realized I had a ticket to use, LOL.

A ticket?....at what site are they holding the freeroll?

It's at PokerStars. The buy-in to the tourney is either 1 ticket or 10 FPP. You may have already used your ticket if you've been at this for a while now. I think they gave everyone one ticket to begin with and I just never realized I had one. As soon as I tried to enter round 1, it said I could use my ticket, so I did.

i minimize the lobby and dont look at the chip count. to see where im at in chip count i look at the info tab in the chat box. i also just try to stay around average chip count and dont worry about who has the most chips because i start to feel like i need to hit a hand and start playing hands i shouldnt be playing.

yeh, i dont mind being at a average chip stack, i just sit back and be patient and wait for some good hands to try earn a nice pot or even a double up off.

Haven't placed in one of these MoneyMaker freerolls yet, dont really play them, i have placed 3rd & 7th in normal NL freerolls but there abit of a waste of time.

I won my seat to round 2. I played like a donkey the first 2 hours, so i blended in well.

Go allin every hand and hope you get lucky?

Or just try and see a lot of cheap flops with marginal hands if your table is passive enough. The players in this thing are so terrible if you hit a monster you're likely to get paid off.

Thats what I did called with marginal hands and got real lucky, won a seat in round 2, but what Dorkus says is so true it was a donkament out there people going all in with anything LOL, so I stayed patient and it paid off, anyway hope to see more CC members get in.

congrats jamile on makin it to round 2 but considering you won that on my birthday (sept 12) a late birthday present wouldnt hurt if you won the whole thing
