| First area of discussion for the month, button 3-betting. I'd like some of you to list your typical 3-betting range on the button vs. an aggressive CO raiser. How does your range change when he has a high Fold to 3-bet? Low? Also, please post WHY you're 3-betting the hands you're 3-betting. |

we can start bluffing him more(eg 3betting complete junk, or some small PPs/SCs for the extra litle equity). Might flatt AA/KK sometimes asuming he is aggro postflop. Quote:
Might also increase my bluff range aswell if villain plays pretty straight forward fit/fold postflop since if he does that we can just 3bet atc, cbet, profit. |

and against someone with a low fold to 3bet is actually where you can widen your value range, so JJ+, AK is a bit on the overly tight side |

So if we get re-raised with our 'light 3bets' we are insta folding since these hands aren't good enough to call with in the first place? And if we are three betting light, then should we be calling some big hands like sindri mentioned, to help polarise (is this considered polarising?) our range? For the villains with low fold to 3bets, what range are we talking about as a 'value range' 88+,AJ+ kinda stuff? |

lol i just read what i wrote here and it sounds super dumb :S. Flatting big hands is fine sometimes, epsecialy,if villain has high fold to 3bet, where IP, and he is aggro/spewy postflop. Our value range should obvs be difrent depending on each villains tendencys but yeah that range looks fine to me. Basicly just 3bet every thing your comfortable stacking prf to a 4bet or think is ahead of villains flatting range. Its super late and i have no clue if anything i said maked any sense... |

1) I have KK/AA 2) I have cards Once you identify the people spewing and 3betting #2 you're not 4betting them light, you're just widening your value range for getting AI. |

| Well March is off to a disastrous start. Down 5 BI in two days. This hand tilted me after already losing a previous stack to villain whos 29/29 with a cbet of 33. He had been 3betting aggressively and squeezing everybody at the table without showing down any hands. | Goals for march: try not to suck as much as I did in Feb. Same goals as I had at the start of feb really, I want to be playing $50nl by the end of the month except I'll add to it that I want to be putting in decent volume this month. 15k hands per week minimum (I think I may have averaged 1/3 of that last month). Quote:
If he has a high fold to 3bet: Eh, not really relying on that stat. If he's openning a lot wider in the CO than elsewhere (i.e. he's raising light) and isn't playing back at me (4betting or calling) I'll be raising really wide. 22+, 45s+, 67o+, Axs. Obviously changes if I expect calls from the blinds. This CO player will very quickly either turn into a nit or leave the table, if he doesn't adjust then I'm never, ever, leaving the table. If my home is burning down around me, I might think about leaving the table, maybe. Low fold to 3bet? 99+/AQ+, I'm open to raising wider than that though depending on how wide his raising range is and how little he folds to 3bets. To be honest, I kind of suck really badly in this spot because I'm not sure what range I should be just calling with because stuff like 67s I still want to play because his range is weak and I've got position but I have little fold equity and wtf do I do post-flop? Generally this guy isn't someone you want to bluff and floating generally sucks against them too. Now lets say I catch my pair of 7's, what now? I probably almost always float but what if he bets the pot with a range that's at least a little balanced? I know this is about 3betting, not calling, but I'm not sure where each range starts and ends. Suffice to say that I'm generally 3betting a wide value range. |

| I feel like CC has been reset. I remember when all the guys like Chuck & Zach were playing micro stakes, and we all had really bad ideas about poker. Now a new round of players has stepped into that vacuum that those players have left behind. And they're complete with all the bad ideas that come with being new. Some of the faces here are the same, obviously. But a lot of those guys have grown tired of explaining things, and are just content to do their usual posting. Not sure why I'm posting that, just felt like saying it. Good luck to the new generation, and be sure to use your resources. |

| I am sure it is a strange feeling. CC has changed a lot even since I first came... Some of the old guard has faded. And the new kids get to make their way up. I don't belong in either camp. To tell the truth I am not sure what I hang around for at all. Comic relief I suppose. |
