| Marathon Freeroll session at FT I signed up with FT for the WSOOF Freeroll, although registration wouldn't work. I have money in two other poker rooms so wasn't really interested in depositing at FT. Figured I'd challenge myself to play freerolls to earn a starting seed for a bankroll. So tonight I played in both Rounder's Radio freerolls. The first, a $50 tourney, I finished like 67/472 and out of the money after a couple hours. Then they had a $100 freeroll where I did much better, but man it took forever. I made it to final table and finished 7/536 or so for a grand total of $3.10, so at least I met my goal of seeding my FullTilt account without a deposit. Now the rigorous work of growing a bankroll out of $3.10. Hey, that's 3x what Chris Furgeson started with and turned it into $20K in two months. I've got a head start on him (poker skill notwithstanding)! First time I've played online poker for 6 hours straight. To earn $3.10. I must be nuts... Interesting thing is that I seemed to get dealt a higher than normal number of AA tonight. Out of 390 hands across both tourneys, I was dealt AA eight times, AKs twice, and AKo three times, and all held up surprisingly enough. My stats held pretty steady at around 15/8/2.9, tight and not overly aggressive. I'm normally more aggressive than that, but having been knocked out of the prior two tourney's tonight, I reeled it in and coasted my way in for the most part. ![]() |
