Low Stakes Poker Pro needs a Buddy

Hello, I've been a poker pro since March 2006. I used to average over $10K a month, and was a winning $5/$10 NL player.

Now, on Full Tilt, I've been a losing $2/$4 player. In the past I would go on streaks where I've won 20 sessions in a row. Now I am going to stay at $1/$2 NL until I win 15 sessions in a row. Only then will I move back up to $2/$4.

So basically, I was wondering if any of you out there can help me out and show me what I'm doing wrong. I would like a poker buddy who can multi-table $1/$2 NL tables, and we can play together on a regular basis. After each session together, we can discuss what we each did wrong, what we did right, etc. So hopefully we can figure out how to be better players.

It might be easier to post some hand histories in the Hand Analysis forum. That way, everyone can give you advice and helpful tips.

Another idea might be to provide us with a session or 3 of your hand-histories, more specificaly sessions in which you felt you played below your capabilites. We can then load them into PT and see where you were going wrong

Posting hand histories is an idea. But I'm afraid people will miss a hand or two that could be given a specific analysis on. It seems like people can judge my play better if they are actually there playing at the same table.

It might seem that way, but only if they know what cards you have. And if they are playing at the table with you and know your cards, then that is collusion (regardless of intent or purpose). So really, they either need to railbird you or you should consider posting as tenbob suggested. And since railbirding could still be considered collusion by some (since poker is one player to a hand and your railbird would know your cards and could potentially help you), posting hand histories, etc is the safest, cleanest, and really the most effective way for you to improve your game (since you'll receive input from more than just one person as well).

I like your lack of ego Prim. It lends you some credability. There are alot of good players here, but for the most part we're recreational. I'm not sure there are many people here who would presume to provide you with the kind of advice you're looking for. But for what it's worth, I'll vouch for Tenbob, he's solid. I'd take him up on his offer. One hand rarely (never?) tells the whole story. We need at least a session or 2.
