loosing money with small pocket pairs from the small blind i have analysed my stats from pokertracker and i find that i make a prfoit from small pocket pairs in every position apart from the small blind. what would a reason for this be and how could i make a profit with these hands from the sb or would i be better of not playing them at all.

the sb and bb are some of the best spots to play small pps because your already in the pot partly. maybe ur just on a small sample size and overtime variace with change things for you. i wouldn't stop playing them if i were you...now maybe if your calling raises that you shouldn't be with them (like 6x + BB)

re: loosing money with small pocket pairs from the small blind poker The blinds are losing positions for most hands. You may not be doing a whole lot wrong, but maybe it's worth posting some hand histories to get some better/more specific feedback?

Negative expectation No matter what you do, you are going to play at a negative expectation when in the blinds. The good news is you will have plenty of oppourtunity to make it back and more in other positions. You should take the course of action that you think will minimize your losses while in the blinds. Just folding your pocket pair might be a worse decision as it might have a bigger negative expectation then if you would have played it. I will leave it up to you. Good luck!
