I need poker help bad. It seems that i'm just constanty loosing money, wasting time, and becoming a bitter old man. :-( So far this year i've lost close to $1K playing online poker... I need lessons.

While Bob_Tiger is a much better player than I am, Im pretty decent at the micro-limit (turbo) SNGs so I can answer a few questions. But if you have to pick between me and Bob, use me as a last resort.

What I see strange is how I easely loose all my winnings from freerools. I think that software "helps" in it. Thanks this, pokerrooms get back free money they give in freerolls.

Well, are you losing your winnings because you're a bad player? Maybe you're not as good as you think you are? You have too many leaks? Or maybe you just happen to be running bad?

Poor BRM IMO and maybe the fact that he may have the mentality of "It's free money" and takes unnecessary risks with his hands.

Well, it could be BRM but that would depend on how much his winnings totaled and how much he had in his BR before he lost it all.

If u want an expert at bad BRM I'm your man. PM me and I'll teach you the ancient art of tilting off 2/3rds of your bankroll on HU matches way out of your limits. It's a skill that most pro's have mastered long ago and necessary if one is serious about his progress in this poker world.

Does bob-tiger or other tutors charge a fee?

What do you guys think of some of the online "poker schools" out there? What are the good ones? Most build curricula through the use of videos. One that I know of - deuces stacked - has the option of hiring a private coach. In just browsing, I saw one guy charged $75. It didn't specify if that was per hour.

I'd like to be a better player, too. I've read many books, I play a lot (not enough if you ask me, way too much if you ask my wife), and I usually know why I'm making the move that I do. I've finally gained the ability to get away from most "what the hell?" shoves. I've had modest success in the CardsChat tourneys. Cash games are up and down. It seems like I run into "fad of the week" players. Currently it's those who won't fold no matter what. I know, I know - I should like it. But it's damned hard to put an opponent on a hand when their play makes no sense. That makes me prone to stepping into traps when they finally do get a hand.

I ask questions here and I learn a lot. I don't want to offend anybody by omission, but I find allingeniuse's posts especially illuminating.

So what's my best course from here? Just more education and discipline? Can I benefit from a coach? How to find the right one?

Well, if you find AG to be useful, ask him and see if he'd be interested in helping you.

The poker schools/paid sites can be good, but get opinions before joining. There are a lot of CC people who are on Stox but it's probably not worth it for the low stakes player.

I'd recommend Chuck, of anyone here myself.

Usually freeroll winnings are too meager to follow BRM and going bust is likely. Other than some rake, the sites don't take back the free money, other players take it from you. Thanks .

...and OP how about just asking Q's and posting hands here. That way everyone benefits from the advice.

I had umm, maybe 7 or 8 students, I pretty sure all of them learned a thing or two. Of course I have got a lot better and have improved my game a lot since last month and plus I have been doing a lot of hu lately and got good at that too. Well as for you question, I didn't charge anyone anything, but when one of my students, Shrog did send me some after I helped him win a 5$ mtt, which I guess was cool of him. Well if you are interested, I could probably coach you through a tourney or two, but of course if you want to learn more then we would have to talk about that in private.

Well poker schools are pretty cool imo, I know of few, stoxpoker, deuces one you are talking about, card runners, and pokerxfactor. Imo, stox and cardrunner are more for cash games and deucses and pokerxfactor are more for mtts. If I had to pick one of them, I would go with pokerxfactor, mainly because of Johnny Bax, he is a beast in mtts. I'm pretty sure the private coaches charge 75$ per hour.

Well the wayI put people on a hand is by their betting pattern position and I guess just my gut feeling.

AllienGenius is a donk cough cough, lol jk, well we always go back and forth at each other if we are on table lol. Well you can learn a lot just by reading and watching, and I can prove that from my own experience.
