Live play analysis part 2 So I was playing a live last night and I've been playing fairly tight, haven't 3bet much of anything. There are some fish and some good players at the table. I'm a big stack with about 450$ in front of me and the other big stack has about 400$ The game is a 2/4 NL. UTG+1 (the other big stack) raises to 10 and gets one caller. I'm on SB and look at AKo, I decide to make a 3bet squeeze and pop it to 30. UTG+1 calls and the other guy folds. Its heads up and flop is 6TJ rainbow. I fire 45$ cbet. It gets called. Turn comes an A, I fire 70$ at the pot. UTG+1 sits and thinks for a good while and finally calls. River is A, no flush draws on the board. I sit and think for a while and finally check the river. UTG+1 bets 80$ is this a call or fold or raise? What would you have done differently at each street? What range do you think this guy has? It went to show down but I'll wait until i get some responses to post outcome.

River is clear bet. It may be a bet/fold depending on player. As played just call. I don't know how your game plays but every $1/$2 $1/$3 game I play in has much bigger preflop raises. Even in games that play smaller I'd pop it to at least $40/$50 pre.

I'd probably go 35-40 pre flop because I'm out of position. And I'd probably play flop and turn same. I might bet more on the turn, like 90-100, depending on the opponent and our history. I want a call here, but if raised easy fold. On the river I bet 150-shove, depending on reads. I will bet-fold the river against a good opponent. I feel like we beat so much of his range we have to value bet. I play fairly LAGy live in 1-2NL, or 1-2-4NL, and do get called light. I definitely expect calls from KK, AQ, J10, mayb QQ. Obviously we lose to JJ,10-10, AJ,A10, and KQ but if 2-4 is anything like 1-2 I feel like we need to get value here. Against more competent players I'll tend to bet smaller but try to play for stacks against weak players.

As played I would have bet the river. If I were in his spot and you bet till, then checked the river I would be pretty suspicious of trip A. At that point, if he's betting 80 into you it's probably a call. If he suspects an A and has bet 80 into a pot of 300 chances are he's looking for action; probably has you beat.
