| Live Play Hi, I was looking at some suggestions on a live 5000.00 chip 30 min blind structure tourney with 350 people. I am curious on how often I should be worried about my chip count etc.. Every 2 hours I need to be at least doubled, I am thinking. How do you range yourself on where you at? meaning middle of the chips etc. Do you get aggressive on the bubble if your chip leader at your table but still average overall? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks |

| In general terms... 30 minutes is an average sort of level duration - it's not a turbo, but it'll go by fairly quick. How fast you need to play really depends on what the blinds start at and how much they go up by each time. 5000 starting with 25-50 blinds is very deep stacked. 5000 starting with 100-200 blinds is less so. I wouldn't be too concerned about having to double your stack every two hours though - rather, just play your game, try to get solid reads on the other players at your table and play your best game against them. There may be 350 people in the tournament, but you've only got to beat them nine at a time. If you find yourself with an M (your stack size divided by one round's worth of blinds and antes) less than 10 switch to your short stack game and start looking for a flip (or better) to double yourself up. Best of luck |
