Knock out bounty

Has anyone ever played tourny with bountys for knocking out particular people? What do you do, play normally or call their all ins with anything? Sensible answer i suppose is play normally, but......

Ugh...Bounties are certainly fun. It is important to play very normally. YOur goal should always be winning the tournament. Knockin a few folks out along the way is great.
I see all the time weaker hands trying to run down a bounty, and watch them make the long walk to the rail because of it. A player with a bounty has to have some skill. If he is pushing his chips, make sure you have the best of it, or at least solid equity.

If there is a bounty, play as if there isn't. If you start calling players all-ins with bounties, you will find yourself playing way too loose. Players with bounties have them for a reason...they are usually the best players in that particular tournament!!!

Forget about the bounties and consider it an added bonus if you knock a player out with one.

I just play normally in the ones I play in.

I havn't had a hand where they have been all in and I had marginal call.

Generally if you can make it far in the field anyway you will get a nice payout that way.

re: Knock out bounty

I played in a weekly tournament style league where the #1 player got a bounty put on his head. I had the bounty from week 3 to 8 just because people would call with marginal hands trying to bust me.

I vote you play your game and don't worry about the bounty. You can make more money playing solid poker than you can being the one who gets lucky enough to take that person out. Wait until late in the tourney when the stakes are higher. Then you may want to take a shot at him but not in the early or middle stages of a tournament.

Watched several good to average players hit a new form of tilt by trying to take me out. Don't call just because he is in a hand and you have junk hoping to hit the miracle flop.

I usually play tight and let them knock themselves out. Take advantage of it when you can.
