| I would like to say THANKS!!! I would like to say thanks to a few people on CC for just posting. QTipDTB, Wobble, and forsakenone for their responses and ramdeebam for starting the original thread. Reading the 3 responses in the thread really got me to reconsider how I approach cash games. I have never won much and have lost alot playing cash games. I have been one of those players that always thought that I was just destined to be a tourney player only. But since I read their posts on Thursday I have changed one thing that I do during a cash game. I RAISE MORE!!! It is very true that at $0.01/$0.02 cent tables that a $0.06 raise is NOTHING. Every donk at the table sees it as that...6 cents. They don't see 3x the bb. They don't care that you've only played 10% of hands and only from late position. They see 6 cents. Since Friday, when I started my new cash experiment, I am up $14.20 only playing 624 hands. I know that's not alot but it is exciting results to me. For a player that felt as if there was no hope(as far as cash game play is concerned), THIS IS HUGE! So THANKS!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!! |

| BTW...in an unopened pot, if I decide to raise, I raise at least 6x/bb. If the pot has been opened then I add a bb for every limper and I have been re-raising my premium hands around 3.5 to 4x the original raise. Seems to be helping me to thin the field and makes decisions a whole hell of a lot easier. |

This link doesn't work for me, though. Another pointer to the post? |

| You have to beat micro limits to advance and be a "good" player? Wrong in my opinion. Try the link now... |

| I'm glad you've had good results so far, but keep in mind that you could just easily be down $14.20. Over that sample of hands your results really aren't anything significant, at least from a statistical standpoint. The rule of thumb is you really need ~50k hands for cash games to be able to draw any reasonable conclusions about your play. So don't get TOO excited about your upswing-- or if you immediately hit a downswing after this, don't get too disappointed, it's just a regression to the mean. Obv I hope your success continues, though. |

Yeah I'm aware that it may be just good luck...BUT I've never had a run like this(for the stakes) that I'm having now. NEVER! I would always win a little and lose a little. My cash game graphs always pointed down from left to right. I hope this is not a fluke. I really don't think it is though. |

| I've came back to earth a little since my last post. Yesterday evening I was playing in a situation where it was set over set. Guess who had the bottom end. Then today played a few hands badly so I'm down 5 bucks or so. Gonna keep grinding and reading and posting. Hopefully I will continue to do well. Thanks! |
