I really need to improve my game, any reply would be nice. Ok time to admit it, I suck at poker but I really want to become a winning player... I read a lot about 6-max (the guide by GT_IE, the one by verneer on 2p2 and the old ryan fee stuff) The tables are absolutely FULL of whale and loose/passive players so it should be great, however, everytime I take one of their stack, I lose more... a lot more not a long time after... I play 16/14/4.7 with too much c-bet... 88% and not enough steal 27% on 3.2k hands in 6 max (I know it's a VERY small sample and mostly not valuable but by the time I reach something like 30-40k... I'll be broke... aherm). I know where I bleed the most money however... 1. When I have a good starting hand but I miss the flop and I c-bet mister 50-80/3/0.5 and he calls, then I let go and lose (Already working on this one) 2. I have something between 88-JJ, KQ or even QJ and I have an overpair or second pair with an A, K or Q on the board vs the same kind of 50-80/3/0.5 and they call... I often find myself not letting go because they're probably calling with the nuts, nothing or a backdoor gutshot straight draw AFAIK... Plus, they're EXTREMELY hard to "range" 3. I c-bet the flop, double barrel the turn and c/f the river (Might be using this too much, even if verneer recommend it in the uStakes...) 4. Those times where I have one pair hands up to trips (not sets) and I raise for value against fish, and they either call or raise (sometimes shoving) and minraise my bet on the turn or river shove and I don't fold since I don't see them on a monster (and 60% they are... the rest of the time it's just a bluff). So please, oh great gurus of cardschat... should I begin to play ABC poker not trying anything out of line, trying to steal more from tight players (most of the time there is a loose player in the blinds on all 4 tables I sit at). C-bet less and play "fit or fold" ?... I'm really lost and I'd really like not to go broke (still have 90$ but I still lost 10$ in 3.2k hands... which looks like a lot... It's not a downswing since I'm not often on the "right side" of the odds when I call... I could fold much more but then, would my play be profitable or I'd get eaten by the blinds ? Thanks to everyone for their input,

First, drop down to 2nl if your not there already, sounds like you are but just to make sure! Second, yes, JUST play ABC poker, no fancy play whatsoever is needed to win at the micro's, you could easily go from 2-10nl only ever 3betting for value and never bluffing (barring cbetting) imo. Cut down on your cbetting for sure, get a SOLID understanding of board texture and what kind of boards hit opponents and what boards are gonna be whiffed by most villains and there for the taking. To start off with make it a rule to never cbet in multiway pots without a hand, until you've got cbetting down and you know your not making mistakes your best off sticking to cbetting when your chances of taking it down are highest, when the pot is HU. Read about the Baluga Therom and start folding to turn raises, if you have KK IP vs a 70/30, flop comes down 34Jr, you get checked to and cbet, he flats and the turn comes a 5, or a 2, or an Ace, he checks to you, you bet like 2/3's pot and he shoves or min-raises.... its hard as shit and it'll take thousands of hands to batter into your head but fold, he has you beat. Don't be scared to bet rivers, I must have missed out on so many bb's in the past by not putting in a valuebet on the river, everytime you check it back and the villain turns up with middle pair or TP but you've out kickered him with your T kicker, look back at the hand and work out what kinda range he could have got to the river with and was checking it back the +ev decision based on his play. I'm going on a bit now but that should be enough for a while lol GL, if you work hard at your game the micros are beatable, dont be another guy who thinks they arent!

You definitely need to read on board texture's and proper C-betting procedure. Before you C-bet, put your opponent on a range as well, especially if they call you oop with an A on the board, when you do not have the A for just one example. This is a huge leak in most players games and one that I did a bunch of reading on because I, at a time, had to high of a cbet range.
