| i need a lot of help I can not deposit money on my full tilt account, (because I do not have any money to spare). So i decided to build a bankroll by freerolls and entering the 500k playchip freeroll. I have managed to get 5 dollars in my account. I want to build a bankroll but my bankroll is too small for me to build up safely, and whenever i try to build it up little by little. Things happen that just make me lose all of it, like aces losing to king 5 when i go all in pre flop (just a strategy) l.jpg (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26585&d=1267581413)▲ and that happens, my bankroll is too small for me to have those kinds of bad beats but i can't get money if i don't risk it I am playing .01/.02 stakes because i do not feel like risking most of my bankroll by losing just one bad beat. My question, how can i build up a bankroll with only 5 dollars safely. (I also do not feel like risking a fifth of my bankroll on a tournament like the daily dollar or the Ferguson). |

| seeing as how the guy above me decided to not read your entire post perhaps i can be a bit more helpful... With a limited bankroll of 5$ you will always run significant risks of going broke (variance etc), but with proper bankroll management and good play i believe you can build your bankroll in time. One thing i would suggest is taking a look at the LIMIT holdem tables, playing the smallest stakes... the limit betting even though promotes people calling for flush's etc, it also will decrease the amount you can loose on one bad beat... Also, perhaps it would be good to take a look at various games, (omaha hi/low, razz, etc) the games are very soft at these games because many people dont truly understand how to beat them... if you do your homework and learn the less popular games, and play some limit to decrease variance i think that should be a little more comfortable in terms of loosing a good portion of your bankroll in one hand... OH... also, when your playing, dont play scared, the minute you play with scared money, its playing bad poker... Hopefully this helps |

| I am no expert by far, and I don't play limit often, but when I do I find there are way more ppl that treat it as a drawing game and I get sucked out on way more. I would suggest the 2nl if you prefer cash games, just be careful and play abc poker. If you are better with tournies, the dd satty's and playing that would be the way to go. |

One "beatable" game for one person is not necessarily a "beatable" game for another person, i know i garbage at tourneys, especially these cheap tourneys where people commit to hands with rags... Anyways... my 2 cents ***OH a little edit... my post count doesnt mean anything towards my ability in poker*** |

You could play the limit games, but I still feel like they're more risky than the DD satty's. In those SNG's, you can probably sit out the first three rounds and still cash. They probably have less variance than any ring game. |
